Running isn’t as easy as we think!
Running is a great way to stay fit, but most runners (up to 75%) experience injuries each year!

The fastest recorded marathon time is 2 hours, 1 minute and 9 seconds, achieved by Eliud Kipchoge on the 25th September 2022.
Common running ailments
Common injuries include Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, shin splints, patellofemoral pain syndrome, and iliotibial band syndrome.
Reduce your risk…
You can reduce risk by gradually increasing distance and intensity, monitoring fatigue, and wearing supportive shoes. Running form matters: aim for a midfoot strike, good posture, appropriate stride length, and correct step width. Strengthening key muscles including your calves, glutes, and core improves running efficiency and load tolerance.
Listen to your body, use small consistent training sessions, and adjust technique slowly to stay injury-free.
