Are you unsure if Physiotherapy can help you?

What does a physiotherapist do?

Physiotherapists diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions of bones, muscles and nerves. Physiotherapists use a wide variety of techniques to manage these conditions including but not limited to manual therapy or massage, passive stretching, joint mobilisations and manipulations, exercise programs and dry needling.

Tried a Physiotherapist before and it didn’t help?

Our Physiotherapists at Preston Physiotherapy are highly skilled at diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues. Just because a previous Physiotherapist hasn’t worked for you, it doesn’t mean we cannot help. We take our time thoroughly assessing our clients and investing years of knowledge into achieving the best outcomes for our clients. If we feel that we cannot help you, we will not hesitate to advise you on which other style of treatment will benefit. We have a close association with a variety of other practitioners in the area, close relationships with surgeons and general practitioners, and we can point you in the right direction!

What to expect at your first appointment…

You first appointment

In your initial consultation our Physiotherapists will ask you some questions to get an idea of what is going on and then provide a thorough assessment of your issue to give you an accurate diagnosis. We spend time working with you and listening to your goals to determine the best course of action.

Then, in your first appointment we will provide treatment for you to ensure we can get this issue under control as soon as possible. Treatment can consist of massage, joint mobilisation, exercise prescription, dry needling and more. We also provide ample education to you to help you understand exactly what is going on and assist you in achieving your goals.

At the end of your first visit we will give you a treatment plan that is tailored just for you. You can ask any questions along the way and we can make changes to your plan at any time to suit your changing needs.
