Dance Assessments

Are you looking to start Pointe and need an assessment?

What is a Pre-Pointe dance assessment?

A Pre-Pointe assessment is a thorough assessment of a dancers strength, balance and flexibility to ensure they are ready to start Pointe. If there are concerns noted, we can provide a comprehensive exercise program to ensure that there are less troubles down the line, allowing for a smoother transition to higher levels of dance. Brooke, who is a trained dancer, provides these assessment with a deep knowledge of the requirements of starting Pointe. The assessment is not a pass or fail test, simply a way to identify any areas of weakness that can be improved, reducing the chances of injury.

Pilates equipment can help!

Pilates is not just for adults!

Utilising our state of the art Pilates equipment can help to train weaker muscles to improve turn-out, adductor (groin) and hamstring muscle strength to assit with better alignment and control.

We provide 1:1 sessions on the reformer to target the muscles that aren’t working optimally in an anti-gravity position in a safe enviroment to challenge the body to work harder.

Replicate the improvements at home.

Brooke can replicate almost any Pilates equipment exercise for the home environment with minimal equipment required. Building strength requires 2-3 sessions a week, but seeing your physio that often can be tricky. Ensuring a safe and effective home exercise program is prescribed, speeds recovery and progress, allowing for a seamless return or progression to doing the sport/art that you love.
